If you are a client, thank you for supporting our startup, BB eBooks, and we hope that you love the design and layout of your eBook. We really hope you make great sales. If you are not client, then we hope that this video is useful for your publishing endeavors. We put together these videos because many clients had questions about how to view their EPUB and MOBI eBooks that were shipped back to them. We will also talk briefly about how to publish on Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing program.
Viewing Your EPUB and MOBI eBook
You should receive an EPUB and MOBI file from BB eBooks. These are standalone eBooks that are ready for immediate upload to the various eBook vendors. The MOBI file is for Amazon, and the EPUB is for everyone else. It is always a good practice to preview your eBooks before making them ready for sale. Also, please contact BB eBooks if you need to make any adjustments, we would be happy to do so at no additional charge.
To read your eBooks, you will need the following software:
- Adobe Digital Editions (for the EPUB)
- Kindle Previewer (for the MOBI/KF8)
The following video explains how to read your eBook on a PC. For Mac users, the process is similar:
We really hope you are happy with your eBook.
Publishing on KDP
The process to self-publish on Amazon’s KDP is not too difficult, but we made this video because some clients had a few questions. The first thing you need to do is sign up for an account at KDP and get all the bank and tax information straightened out. Please consult our publishing page for more details.
Make sure you have the following ready before publishing on KDP:
- Cover (1562px Width x 2500px Height recommended)
- Your .mobi file
- Description/Blurb for your eBook that will appear on the product page
- 7 Keywords for Amazon’s search engine to find your book
Please have a look at the following video to see the process:
Good luck with your eBook and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
